Serial Philantropreneur, John Howard Shaw-Woo, President and CEO of Noir Realty Inc., a black-owned real estate firm, launches Noir Real Estate Express School, a national online real estate school platform to assist Black Americans across the country become certified real estate agents and real estate industry professionals. The platform offers a variety of courses for pre and post licensing, as well as continuing education courses, monthly collaborative meetings, mini-educational series on website design, social media marketing, real estate development, property management, apartment and home rentals, commercial real estate, real estate investing, professional etiquette, and clientele development.

 

WHY

Only 6% of Real Estate Professionals Identify as Black

There is a correlation between the lack of black realtors and low rates of homeownership among black adults, and it is estimated that only 6% of real estate professionals identify as Black, even though Black people make up 11% of the U.S. population. How can we increase Black Homeownership when the majority of real estate agents are not black, nor do they understand the longstanding issues Black have gone through with redlining and disinvestment in black communities.
